Los Pueblos de América Park

Motril Cerro de la Virgen and sculpturesProbably the most important green space of the village, built in the '90s, is situated on the slopes of Cerro de la Virgen, near downtown. In it we find more than 50 plant species from South America, that somehow reaffirms the subtropical climate of the area.
It has a lake, playground, square for events and a sculpture representing the Union of europeans with the American people. Here you will find also the Tourist Information Point and an Interpretation Centre for the Sugarcane. The park is currently connected with Las Explanadas, a beautiful square and entertainment area of Motril, by a pedestrian bridge overlooking the sea and the valley.
