MHIMO. Motril´s Museum of History

The newly opened MHIMO (Museo de Historia de Motril), is located at Casa Garces in the heart of Motril, near the Town Hall and the Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación Church. In it, we will make a tour through the history of the city, from the early settlers of the region until the more recent past.

May be possible that you don´t know anything about the city at your arrival to Motril. The tourist information office is the perfect place to know what, where and when in Motril.

Las Explanadas promenade

In the heart of the town, close to the Tourist Information Office you will find a promenade called Las Explanadas. This is the main entertainment area of Motril besides the beach during the summer.

Los Pueblos de América Park

Probably the most important green space of the village, built in the '90s, is situated on the slopes of Cerro de la Virgen, near downtown. In it we find more than 50 plant species from South America, that somehow reaffirms the subtropical climate of the area.
